Young guitarist/vocalist Dean Shot is a fast rising star from the NY/NJ area. Dean's singing and playing explode with soul, self-expression, emotion and creativity. Incorporating many diverse influences and his life experiences, he delivers a strong style that is all his own. He has been described as "mature beyond his years...Dean plays from the heart... with sheer power and passion behind every note...and a terrific showman!

Dean is a dedicated and accomplished musician and works hard to bring his music to nightclubs in New Jersey. Musicians can play at his New Jersey Open Jams on Monday at The Great Notch Inn in Little Falls and every other Thursday at Cecils Jazz Club in West Orange. 

At Cecils, Dean performs in one form or another every Thursday. Once a month he hosts some of the greatest nationally touring blues musicians and has been invited to play on stage with them. Some of these performers include Eddie Shaw, Greg Piccolo, Janiva Magness and Mark Hummel. Eddie Shaw’s son, Vaan Shaw said, "Dean is the only guitar player I've ever met who can play like Hubert Sumlin (Howling Wolf's guitarist of 27years)." Greg Piccolo of Roomful of Blues fame had this to say, "Dean is one hell of a mean guitar player, and I’ve stood next to some guitar players in my day...I know"
